Ready to start 2023 off with a jam-packed week of learning and fun? Here are our picks for kid-friendly FREE virtual events happening this week, plus a free in-person workshop:

1. Join in a Bilingual Storytime/Únase A Una Hora de Cuentos Bilingüe

This bilingual, free online storytime, hosted by Literacy Inc. and the Bronx Library Center, will feature both Spanish and English songs, stories and more! Jan. 5

2. STEAM, Snacks, & Stories For Creative Kids

Craft, cook, and listen to a story together at this free online storytime hosted by the New York Public Library! For children ages 7-10 who love to create and innovate whether that's in the kitchen or at the crafting table. No library membership is necessary. Jan. 6

3. Design a Penguin Snowball Game at Your Local Home Depot

Join in the fun at your local Home Depot on the first Saturday of each month between 9 am – 12 pm for free in-person Kids Workshops. This month's kit is a penguin snowball game.

4. Bring To Life The Story Of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Join Northwest African American Museum for a virtual storytime reading of Martin’s Big Words: The Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This children's book brings to life the story of one of the most influential civil rights leaders of all time using his own big words. Jan. 8

5. Register Now To Learn About NASA's Artemis Mission To The Moon
