Family Friendly Halloween Events in Tucson

Based on the information available, these are family friendly events without the scare factor. But as always, if you're not sure if an event is appropriate for your child, please contact the venue directly (just click on the venue name to be linked to the website.) The events are listed in order of date.


My Gym Fall Spooktacular: Oct. 24, 5-7 PM. Kids will start at My Gym and have a fun time looking for Mymo's throughout the plaza. Meet firefighters, get a complimentary kids meal ticket at Dickey's, and participate in our costume contests! Cost: Cash donation to benefit the My Gym Challenged America Foundation.

Pima Air and Space Museum Night of Fright: Oct. 24, 5-9 PM. Old fashioned carnival with games, pony rides, magic shows, trick-or-treating and more at this fun event. Cost: Admission $10 for adults, FREE for children 12 and under.

Spooktacular Science at Flandrau Science Center: Oct. 24 & 25; Oct. 30 & 31. Everyone gets to be a Mad Scientist with frightfully fun activities like slippery slime, squid dissections, a brain zoo, and more!  Plus, Halloween treats & trinkets and a special Halloween laser show in the Planetarium (included with admission). Cost: Adults $7, kids $5. Wear a costume for half off admission!   

Howl-o-Ween at the Zoo:  Oct. 24-26, 6-8PM.  Note:  Doors open at 5:30 for Zoo Members). Trick-or-treating, costumed characters and more! Cost: $7 admission for all ages ($5 for zoo members). This is a very popular event. Click HERE to purchase tickets in advance.  

Halloween Party at Bookmans Ina: Oct. 25, 3 PM; Halloween Magic Show at 3:30 PM. Join us in costume at one for pictures, crafts, cookie decorating, and more! It will be a spooky day filled with Halloween surprises! Cost: FREE

Spooky Halloween on 4th Avenue: Oct. 25, 5-8 PM; Kids’ Costume contest at 6 PM.Trick-or-treat along the avenue, great music, prizes and more.  Cost: FREE

Trick or Treat at La Encantada: Oct. 25, 5-7 PM. Show up in your best Halloween costume at Mildred and Dildred toy store at La Encantada, then go trick-or-treating at participating businesses throughout the shopping center. Cost: FREE   

Halloween Kids’ Night Out: Oct. 25, 5-8 PM. Candy, games, costumes, and a candy treat! Come dressed in your most creative and fun Halloween Costume - there will be a costume contest with a special prize! For potty-trained to 12 years old. Heart & Soul Gymnastics, Dance & Fitness, 8363 N. Oracle Rd.Cost: $35 per child, Sibling $15.Register Here - these events fill up fast!

Halloween in the Wild: Oct. 25, 5-7PM. Games, crafts, candy & a haunted house. Fun for all ages! Cost: Regular admission rates apply; FREE for museum members.

12th Annual NW YMCA Trunk or Treat: Oct. 25, 5:30-8PM; Come early at 5PM - food for purchase at the Food Truck Roundup. 5:30PM: Trunk or Treating (candy and treats), Crafts & Games with prizes, Face painting, Story Time, Disney Princesses’, Firetruck, Decorated Car Contest. 6:30PM: Halloween Movie at the PCC Amphitheater, for all ages. Cost: Free event; Additional charge for photo booth, train rides and inflatables.

Creature Features at the Boo!seum: Oct. 25 & 26, 10AM-4PM. Learn about the not-so-spooky Halloween creatures that call the Sonoran Desert home at this first ever Halloween event. Boo!seum treasure hunt, pumpkin-themed enrichment for Museum animals, Halloween animals at docent and junior docent stations. Raptor Free Flight (presentations at 10 AM & 2 PM): Cost: Free with Museum admission; Kids 12 and under in a Sonoran Desert animal, plant, or mineral costume will receive free admission!
 

Children’s Museum Tucson’s Halloween Spooktacular: Oct. 31, 10AM-2:PM. We will celebrate Halloween with a day of games, crafts, and trick-or-treating stations. And don’t forget to come in costume! Cost: Halloween activities included with regular daily admission.

Celtic Halloween Party: Oct. 31, 5 PM: Trick or treating, scavenger hunt, fortune tellers and lots of fun at this special Halloween event at the annual Celtic festival. Rillito Raceway Park. Cost: FREE admission between 5 & 6 PM.  $8 at the door after that.

Halloween Trunk or Treat: Oct. 31, 5-8 PM. Haunted house, Trunk-or-Treat, Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin movie will be playing, jumping house, Food Truck Rally. 7555 W. Twin Peaks Road - Hosted by The Springs Church, Twin Peaks Veterinary Center & AKKA Karate USA. Cost: FREE

Vision Church Annual Boo Bash: Oct. 31, 5:30-7:30 PM. Trunk or Treating, games, inflatables, a costume parade, face painting, food trucks, a live band and a photo op. Vision Church, 7511 N. Benet Dr. (Silverbell & Cortaro).  Cost: FREE
