Hot Summer, Cool Activities in Tucson!

During the Summer in Tucson it can be challenging to keep your children entertained while avoiding the searing temperatures. Here are some indoor and water-based activities that are sure to be a lifesaver this Summer.

Museums: 

Blue Star Museum Program for Active Military: All active duty, National Guard and Reserve military personnel and their families receive FREE entrance to participating museums from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Note: Not all of these are indoors, so consider going in the early morning or evening when it's cooler.


Bowling Programs:

Kids Bowl Free Program:Kids registered in the program receive 2 FREE games of bowling daily from May 1 through September 2 at participatingVantage Bowling Centers. Some age restrictions and shoe rental fees may apply. Go towww.kidsbowlfree.com and register for the bowling alley of your choice.

Macaroni Kid Calendars:
Check your local Macaroni Kid calendars to find even more fun indoor activities. Northwest Tucson Macaroni Kid, East Tucson Macaroni Kid, and South Tucson Macaroni Kid.

Open Gyms:
Heart and Soul Gymnastics, Dance and Fitness: Come run, jump and tumble in our air conditioned state-of-the-art facility. One hour of of play is only $5. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Summer Camps:
Many local business and organizations offer fun and educational summer programs. Check out our Summer Fun Guide HERE. Note: Not all of these programs are indoors, but your kids will be sure to have a "cool" time regardless.

Summer Movie Programs:
Harkins Theatres Summer Movie Fun: Kids can enjoy a movie a week for 10 weeks for less than $1 per film. Choose a specific day of the week (Mon.-Fri. at 9:45 a.m.) that you will be going to the Summer Movie Fun movies, purchase the season ticket(s) at the movie theatre for only $5 each.
