2012 Barnum & Bailey Circus - Dragons!

A Macaroni Kid Reader Review

By Katharine Nelson - NW Tucson Macaroni Kid Subscriber June 28, 2012
Dragons is the theme of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Circus this year, and it was truly a production to remember.

My family recently had the opportunity to attend the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Circus courtesy of Feld Entertainment, Inc. and NW Tucson Macaroni Kid in exchange for this review. We soon discovered that it is indeed The Greatest Show on Earth! Our family enjoyed the non-stop, energetic performance.

The Dragon theme of this production brings together the four corners of the globe and shares the message with kids about the importance of having strength, wisdom, courage and heart. The  professional individuals, troupes and families that make up the many acts came together from the far corners of the globe to share their amazing talents with their audiences night after night.

Some of our favorite acts involved the elephants. If you missed seeing them, check out www.ElephantCenter.com where you can learn more about these famous Asian elephants. We also enjoyed the Torres Family as they showed off seemingly impossible feats, ending with a death-defying world record where eight motorcycling daredevils rode inside a 16-foot steel globe!

The action was non-stop throughout the evening. Many times we found ourselves holding our breath as we watched, and the music had my kids dancing in their seats. The evening was engaging on many levels from start to finish.

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey
® Circus is an event that we will remember for a lifetime! My kids can now say that they have the Spirit of the Dragon - strength, wisdom, courage and heart. Do you have the Spirit of the Dragon in YOU?!

Although I received complimentary tickets in exchange for this review, the thoughts expressed in this article are 100% mine.
