Northwest Tucson Storytimes

Storytimes are not only offered by the libraries. Bookstores, coffee shops, and museums offer story times too, and many of them include singing, music, and arts and crafts projects. Storytimes are either free or are included with admission.

A craft activity follows each Story Time. FREE.

KidZone
The Springs Church
7555 W. Twin Peaks Rd.
The 3rd Tuesday of every month at 9:30am.
Storytime, activities, songs, puppets, snacks. Free coffee and refreshments for parents. All families with young children are welcome. FREE.




Pima County Public Libraries:
At Storytime, children have an opportunity to do activities that promote development and learning. There are story times for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the entire family. All programs are designed for parents to participate with their children; arrangements for school, daycare, or other group visits need to be made in advance. FREE.

Read to a Dog:

Trained and certified therapy and service dogs love to come to the library to listen to young readers. Reading to a dog gives children a chance to improve their reading skills in a relaxed, comfortable environment with a non-judgmental listener. FREE.

Designed for children ages 4 & under, but everyone is welcome!


Stories in the Garden
Tohono Chul Park (Children's Ramada)

Tuesday mornings at 10:00 AM
Your little ones will hear Southwest-themed stories told by fantastic docent narrators. Tales of coyotes and cacti will delight parents and children alike. After Stores in the Garden, a stroll in the Park is the perfect way to keep your child's imagination stimulated. Included with park admission

Wee Play with Miss Coco:
Children's Museum Tucson, 200 S. 6th Ave.
Children 4 years and younger will sing, read and laugh together with exciting weekly themes.

Tuesdays at 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM; Thursdays and Fridays at 9:30 PM; Saturdays at 10:30 AM. Included with museum admission.
