It feels like I just attended my daughter's kindergarten graduation and picked out end-of-year gifts for the kids' wonderful teachers. I could have sworn we JUST went shopping for new swimsuits...can it possibly be time to shop for school supplies?
Like it or not, the hustle-bustle of the new school year is mere weeks away (days, for Vail students). Luckily, there are a several events over the next couple of weeks to help you and the young students in your household get prepared-and EXCITED-for the 2016-2017(!!) school year.
Saturday, July 23
6th Annual Vision Church Backpack Event: 8 AM-11 AM. We are providing backpacks filled with school supplies for under-resourced kids (students must accompany parents to receive a backpack). There will also be haircuts, a clothing bank, and sports physicals. Estes Elementary, 11280 W. Grier Rd.
MHC Healthcare $15 Sports Physicals: 8 AM-12 PM. No appointment necessary and walk-ins welcome for $15 sports physicals, immunizations NOT included. Marana Main Health Center Family Practice, 13395 N. Marana Main Street.
Arizona Bilingual Kids Expo: 10 AM-2 PM. Over 500 backpacks with school supplies will be given away at this FREE event. Plus, kids activities, community resources and more! El Pueblo Activity Center, 101 W. Irvington.

Bookmans Grant Summer Kids Event Back-to-School Bash: 10 AM-11 AM. Silly Tassie is back to help your celebrate the end of summer with our Back to School Carnival. Events include games, prizes, face painting and more. It’s been a fabulous summer so let’s send it out in style with our kids carnival style games and activities. FREE! Bookmans Grant, 1930 E.
