Let's face it - Tucson is HOT during the summer, and keeping cool is always a challenge, but our city does have some great summer activities and programs to help your kiddos be Entertained, Educated, and (hopefully) Exhausted while beating the heat. Just click on the links below for more information.

Bowling Programs:

Kids Bowl Free Program: Kids registered in the program receive 2 FREE games of bowling daily through August 31 at participating Vantage Bowling Centers. Some age restrictions and shoe rental fees may apply. Go to www.kidsbowlfree.com and register for the bowling alley of your choice - there are five in Tucson!

Museums: 

Blue Star Museum Program for Active Military: All active duty military personnel and their families receive FREE entrance to participating museums from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Click HERE to find a participating Blue Star Museum. Note: Not all museums are indoors, so consider going in the early morning or evening when it's cooler.

Summer Movie Progams: 
Harkins Theatres Summer Movie Fun: Kids can enjoy a movie a week for 10 weeks from May 30-August 5 for less than $1 per film. All adults must be accompanied by children. Tickets are on sale now at participating locations. See the Tucson Summer Movie Fun schedule HERE.

Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse: Ten fun films for kids! $5 for ten movies when purchased in advance (box office or Cinemark.com), or $1 per show when purchased at the box office. The Loft Kids Fest: July 23-July 31. 10:00 AM, pre-show fun at 9:15 AM. Each morning, children and their parents can experience some of the best family-friendly films of all-time, along with a fabulous animated short before every feature! We’ve also got fun games, hands-on activities, live performances, great giveaways, and crazy surprises. FREE admission and FREE popcorn.

Summer Reading Programs: Avoid the Summer learning slump by having your kiddos participate in a local or online Summer Reading Program. Check them out HERE.


City Passes:
Pima County Public Library Culture Pass: Offers FREE admission for two people at participating arts and cultural institutions. Any Pima County resident with a valid, full-service Pima County Public Library card can check out a Culture Pass at eight libraries.

SummerGo Youth Pass: 
Sun Tran and City of Tucson’s Department of Transportation have brought back this low-cost option for Tucson kids (age 6-18) to have unlimited air-conditioned rides on Sun Tran, Sun Link and select Sun Shuttles, and unlimited access to City of Tucson pools through August 5. The pass can be purchased for $45 through June 2016.
