Summer Evening Activities in Tucson

Tucson offers many night time activities during the Summer that are perfect for families to have fun and beat the heat! These activities are mostly for Northwest Tucson. For night time entertainment in Central and East Tucson check out East Tucson Macaroni Kid.

Concerts
Music in Marana: Every first Saturday of the month through September (except for July) there will be concerts at Crossroads at Silverbell District Park, 7548 N. Silverbell Rd. at 7:00 PM. FREE

Oro Valley Concert Series: Bring your own chair and enjoy a FREE concert every second Saturday of the month.Click the link for the concert schedule. Oro Valley Marketplace, SW corner of Oracle Rd. and Tangerine

Fun!
Funtasticks Family Fun Park and Golf N Stuff: Open all year long, these family fun parks are great for a summer evening outing including mini golf, bumper boats, arcade, laser tag and more. During the summer, both parks are open until 11 PM Sunday-Thursdays and until midnight on Fridays. Check each website for regular pricing and specials. 

Outdoor Movies
Cox Movies in the Park. FREE family-friendly movies at Reid Park, Demeester Performing Arts Pavilion.  Alternate Fridays June 10 & 24; July 8 & 22; August 5 & 19.  Food vendors on-site, as well as balloon twisters, face painters, jumping castles and more.  Activities start at around 5 PM and movies start around 7-7:30 PM.  Click HERE for the 2016 movie schedule.

Dive-in Movies: Once a month from June to September relax in the water and watch a family friendly movie at the Ora Mae Harn Park public pool. 
Noodles and innertubes are welcome. More details to come. FREE

Drive-in Movie on the Driving Range:  Join us for a FREE Drive-in Movie series as we present G or PG-rated features on our giant inflatable outdoor screen. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs or enjoy the show from a golf cart! Oro Valley Community & Recreation Center, 10555 N. La Canada Drive

Marana Movies in the Park: Bring a blanket and enjoy a family friendly movie at various Marana parks. Click the clink for the movie schedule. FREE

Teen Dive-in Movie Night: Teens ages 13-19 can join other area-wide teens every 4th Saturday, June through September, from 7:30 PM-10:00 PM. Movies will play on a jumbo screen while you enjoy FREE pizza, water games, diving boards, and a giant water slide. Oro Valley Aquatic Center, 23 W. Calle Concordia. FREE


Nature
Cool Summer Nights at the Desert MuseumWeekly on Saturdays, May 21 through September 3, 5:00-10:00 PM.  The desert comes alive at night when nocturnal animals awake. Bring a flashlight to explore, and participate in special activities for each weekly theme (click here to see each week's theme). Admission rates can be found here. 

Summer Safari Nights at Reid Park Zoo.  Fridays from May 20th-July 8th, 6:00-8:00 PM.  Cool off at the zoo!  Don’t miss an evening at the zoo in the cooler temperatures, with animal encounters, live music, crafts and face painting for the kids, and gift shop discounts. $9.00/adults, $5/children 2-12; $2 off admission for zoo members. Swimming
$5 Friday Family Nights at the Aquatic Center: $5 Friday Family Nights will be held throughout the summer from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM and costs only $5 for a family up to 6 members. Oro Valley Aquatic Center, 23 W. Calle Concordia

Family Swim at the Northwest YMCA: Monday through Thursday from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. $1 per family. Parents must be with children. 7770 N. Shannon Rd.
