Like it or not, (and yes, there IS a part of me that likes it), the hustle-bustle of the new school year is mere weeks (days, for Vail students) away. Luckily, there are a several events over the next couple of weeks to help you and the young students in your household get prepared-and EXCITED-for the 2015-2016 school year.

15th Annual Back to School Bash: 8 AM-12 PM. FREE breakfast, giveaways and raffles, free backpacks and school supplies, informational displays and more. Plus, swim for FREE at Clements Center from noon-4:00! Clements Center, 8155 E. Poinciana Drive
Arizona Bilingual Kids Expo: 10 AM-2 PM. Over 500 backpacks with school supplies will be given away at this FREE event. Plus, fashion shows, kids activities, community resources and more! El Pueblo Activity Center, 101 W. Irvington.
Backpack to School Event (GAP Ministries): 9-11 AM. Backpacks and school supplies, plus games, food and fun! Free for Flowing Wells district students. Flowing Wells Junior High, 4545 N. La Cholla
El Rio Community Health Center Immunization Clinic: 10 AM-2 PM. FREE services for school aged children (parents must be present). Immunizations, free dental and vision screenings and additional resources and services. 101 W. Irvington, Building 10.
